Canada/"Close to the Heart" campaign in the City of Richmond is now launched

This beautiful operation that aims to promote local purchasing in downtown Richmond is well underway. Buying in the heart of its community enhances the value of local businesses, boosts the regional economy while reducing its carbon footprint.

Initiated by the Rues Principales Foundation, an organization that works for the vitality of the heart of communities, this campaign is an opportunity for the Corporation du Pays de l'Ardoise and the Richmond Region Chamber of Commerce to join forces in promoting the regional commercial artery that is Richmond's Principale Street.Ardoise and the Chamber of Commerce of the Richmond region to join forces to promote the regional commercial artery that is Richmond's Main Street.

Each of these businesses offers a variety of quality products and services that both organizations will promote on their respective Facebook pages.

This is a wonderful way to encourage and enhance the local economy, in fact to continue a movement that has grown with the pandemic and must continue.

New $20 Levi's, quality shoes, Christmas decorations, children's toys, floral arrangements, leather goods, antiques, arts and crafts, handmade greeting cards, floral arrangements and holiday items : the many downtown businesses offer all the products and services to make the holiday season a success!

The campaign will also focus on the merchants themselves, whose quality of welcome and service is an added value that is greatly appreciated by customers. Finally, service businesses such as hairdressers, cafés, bars and restaurants are meeting places for everyone and provide a place to socialize and liven up our living environments.

The Corporation du Pays de l'ardoise was born, at the end of 2020, from a partnership between the City of Richmond and a committee of citizens to increase the regional attractiveness in synergy with the development of the commercial artery of the Pays de l'ardoise, the North Main Street of Richmond.

This is the time of year when we start shopping for the holidays, so let's allow us to encourage the development of our surroundings by supporting our entrepreneurs and the workers who grow, produce and sell these products here!
